中学1年 国際学級でMothers’ Lunchを開催しました

The closest examples of leadership for our students are their seniors and teachers at school and most importantly, their mothers at home. To celebrate International Women’s Day, the grade 7F class hosted a Mothers’ Lunch. We had an exceptional group of mothers attend and three mothers made presentations about what they wanted the students to remember and about their jobs. Everyone enjoyed the time together and the presentations. We are lucky to have such wonderful examples of leadership for our students.

Mothers’ Lunch was a very interesting experience for me. Through International Women’s Day, I learned about how the role of women has changed around the world. Listening to the stories of our mothers, who are the strong women close to us, was very inspiring. I especially learned the importance of having the courage to challenge things without fearing others’ opinions. It was an interesting experience that I hope to remember and use in the future.

I listened to three mothers’ speech at the Mothers’ Lunch. They talked about the experience of their lives and gave us some important advice for our lives. I was impressed by their experiences abroad. After listening to them, I got a dream to study abroad someday. I hope I can try it in the future.

Mothers’ Lunchでは、来てくださったお母様方だけでなく、友達、自分の母など身近に居る人たちのこともさらに知ることができました。また、自分の夢や、どのような人になりたいかなど、前よりも更に考えることができました。交流を通して色々な人のことを知ることができ、とても楽しかったです。

3月8日の女性の権利拡大を訴える象徴的な日、国際女性デーにちなんで国際学級でマザーズランチを行いました。私たちの一番近くにいる代表的な女性であるお母様方と交流させていただき、生徒と一緒に昼食を食べました。3人のお母様方にはプレゼンテーションもしていただき、とても良いインスピレーションを受けました。５つの班に分かれて班のお母様方に質問をしたり、製作したランチョンマットもプレゼントしました。非常に充実した時間になりました。お母様方も本当にありがとうございました♪　いただいたアドバイスはこれからの日々に活かしていきたいです！
