高校1年国際学級BLAST 第2日目

 　7月23日、高校1年国際学級のボストンリーダーシップ研修2日目。
　ボストンで受ける最初のレッスン（GPI Session）に、期待が膨らみます。Identityとは？
　午後はMassachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) 、マサチューセッツ工科大学を訪れ、学生によるキャンパスツアーに参加しました。

　今日はボストンで初めてのlessonがありました。なにをやるのかなぁとワクワクしました！　lessonの建物がとてもきれいで、そんなところで毎日勉強できるのはいいなと感じました！
　今日のlessonでは、アイデンティティーがテーマでした。「アイデンティティー」というと、「個性」などが思い浮かびます。今回はいくつかのグループに分かれて、自分の趣味や歌がどんな分類に入るか考えました。activeやsocialなど、どんなグループに入るか、友達と相談しながら決めるのが楽しかったです。また、フルーツバスケットならぬ、アイデンティティーバスケットをしました。一人一人をより深く知ることができる機会となりました！

Today we had our first session. We met our group leaders and had some conversations to get to know each other. In the session, we talked about what identities are. We learned that even in identities, there are global identities and personal identities. I only knew the meaning of “identity”, so I was glad to know deeper about identities. （H.H.）

　今回初めてMITに訪れました。大学には学生が学べる環境が整っており、さらに様々な国から来ている人がいてグローバルな大学でした。 （M.W.）

It was a good experience at MIT. I was able to learn a lot of things. Inside of the university was so clean and I thought that the school was very advanced. （K.T.）

At MIT, we divided into two groups and the MIT students guided us around the campus. The most surprising thing was that the university was so big and there were a lot of buildings inside the campus. It was so big that I couldn’t remember the places we went today at once. Also, as MIT is an engineering university, there were many labs with many machines we’ve never seen before. There were some students working there, so I want to know more about how they use the machines for their research etc. （Y.K.）

I was surprised because MIT was very big and clean. We went to the library that looks like a dome. The library was very big and I wanted to study there. Also there was a grass square in front of the library, and we took pictures of ourselves posing in the shape of MIT. When I visited the laboratory, I was impressed by the cutting-edge technology.
I felt MIT was a different world, so I was so glad I got to know a world I didn’t know before. （N.O.）
