高一国際学級の授業～Making Tokyo Better～

国際コース高一の生徒は３学期に教科書でDo cities need nature?というタイトルの文章を読みました。そして、自然を増やすことに限らず、東京を暮らしやすくするようにできることについてブレーンストーミングをしました。グループごとに、5千万円という仮想予算でできるモデル・プロジェクトを企画し、そのプロジェクトをアピールするためにパワーポイントを作って班ごとにプレゼンテーションをしました。それを見た後は、それぞれの生徒がクラスで実現させたいプロジェクトを１つ選びました。Advanced Groupの優勝チームのアイディアは、「山手線の各車両に車いすがお手伝いなしで入れるスロープをドアに設置する」というもので、それを「Hope Slope」と命名しました。Intermediate Groupの優勝チームは引き分けで、「SNS Challenge」 というコロナ禍で苦しんでいるレストラン業界を支援するプロジェクトと、「Robot」というごみを拾い、ポイ捨てする人を注意するロボットを駅の周辺に設置するプロジェクトでした。他にも、都バスを水素自動車にしたり、少子化対策のマッチングアプリ、お年寄りと若者がアドバイスをしあうスペースを作る、スマホと手を同時に洗う機械を作る、公園で充電でき仕事できる「EcoMushroom」、リフレッシュできる東京駅内の日本庭園など、様々なプロジェクトのアイディアが出されました。どのアイディアも想像豊かで、予算や実施計画もしっかり考えられていました。
以下に生徒の感想をご紹介いたします。

It was interesting to listen to other groups. I learned that we could think many ways to solve one problem. I can see a problem from many different points.（K.I.）

I learned the importance of finding problems, interviewing the opinions of the related people, and thinking of the solution.（R.O.）

I think the most interesting thing that I learned while I was doing this project is global warming. We have to solve this problem as soon as possible. I have to do something in the future. For example, I have to turn off the light when I finish doing something.（Y.S.）

I was interested in how to use 5 million yen to do this project. We think about costly slightly. I think it is important if I have to think about costs at work.（A.H.）

Through this project, I learned that starting up something new is so challenging and interesting, because we have to take everything such as cost, location, problems, risks, and others into consideration when we set up a new project. But after we achieved it, I felt so satisfied and confident. In the future this experience will help me to be imaginative and also to find out solutions to work out anticipated problems.（K.T.）
