東京シンフォニアの指揮者ロバート・ライカー氏が来校されました
6月5日（月）、東京シンフォニアの指揮者ロバート・ライカ―氏が来校されて、学校の様子を見学されました。
今回のご来校は、4月19日にユダヤコミュニティセンターで行われた「ワルシャワゲットー蜂起80年記念」の催しに本校の生徒が参加した際に、来場されていたライカー氏に本校の生徒たちが積極的に話しかけたことからご縁が繋がり、本校の教育活動に興味を抱かれた氏のご希望によって実現いたしました。高3F組（国際コース）の生徒が校内をご案内し、氏もたいへん感銘を受けたご様子でした。（4月19日の催しの様子についてはこちら）
来校された際に、ライカー氏が指揮する東京シンフォニアのコンサートをご案内いただきましたので、ご紹介させていただきます。若い世代に音楽に親しんでほしいとの願いから、学生は500円と破格の料金に設定されておりますので、どうぞお嬢様とご鑑賞をご検討くださいませ。お日にちは6月14日（水）、7月12日（水）、会場はいずれも銀座・王子ホールとなっております。
On June 5 (Monday), the school was honored by a visit from the music director of Tokyo Sinfonia, Mr. Robert Ryker.
On April 19, a piano concert commemorating the 80th anniversary of the Warsaw Ghetto Uprising was held at the Jewish Community of Japan. Mr. Ryker, who was in attendance, was approached by a number of TJK students following the concert. Their curiosity, enthusiasm, and outgoing nature piqued his interest and prompted his visit to the school. During his visit, two grade 12 students from the International Course guided him around the school, and he showed great interest about the school’s history and school life.
During his visit, Mr. Ryker also introduced us to educational programs offered through Tokyo Sinfonia as well as a concert series which students can view for only 500 yen. A strong advocate of music and education, he explained that he wanted young people to be able to appreciate and develop an interest in classical music.
